‘Warehouse drone’ Eyesee by REFLEX WMS wins Innovation Award 2016
Minister Ploumen hands out prestigious prize at Hotel de L’Europe in Amsterdam
The drone Eyesee has a built-in camera that monitors warehouse stock extremely efficiently. Human intervention is no longer necessary, and the data collated by the drone can be used by all warehouse management systems (WMS).
With the camera and an indoor geo-localization system, the Eyesee selects relevant data and picks up errors at high speed. The result is higher productivity and better safety coverage for staff. Companies can optimize their service to clients with these drones; they are currently being tested at a client in France and will, pending the results, be made available to other interested parties as soon as possible.
The awards ceremony of 23 June
It was a rather festive moment when Cecile Around from Hardis Group and Jacques Scheutjens from AEPEX (reseller of Hardis Group in the Netherlands) received the Innovation Award from the minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Lilianne Ploumen, on 23 June. The French Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands awards these Innovation Awards annually. The other nominated companies were Cedexis and Ecab.
